You can get into the gold dome and to part of the walkway around it,
but if you want to completely explore the gold dome, you'll have to
get clues and/or access from other islands. The ice-cream-cone-shaped
device near the beginning has a purpose, but that will not be
discovered without clues from other islands. There is also a device
on this island that is common to all the other islands in the game,
but that cannot be operated without information on other islands.
